Frameless Stencils
 Several SMT printer companies offer stencil tensioning systems that do not require the stencil to be permanently glued in a frame. Although Photo Stencil believes the best practice is mounting a stencil foil permanently in a frame using a mesh border to tightly pull the stencil foil taut in the frame, frameless stencils are also available as an alternative. Photo Stencil is licensed to manufacture and sell the Vectra and Tetra stencil foils and VectorGuard thin frame systems.

Applications
- Tetra and Vectra Frameless Systems: Photo Stencil has all the stretch border opening patterns on file to manufacture any of the Tetra or Vectra frameless stencils.
- QST: Photo Stencil has the stretch opening patterns on file to manufacture the QST frameless stencil along with the plastic holding border.
- VectorGuard has the foil mounted in a thin flexible frame that is stretched tight in a special DEK frame system
