Post- Processing

Post-ProcessingPost-processing is any process that is done to the stencil after it has gone through its normal manufacturing process.  The objective of post-processing is to improve the quality of the inside aperture walls of the stencil apertures.

Applications

  • Electropolish:  Smooth aperture walls providing excellent paste transfer for Premium Alloy 42 Laser and Chem-Etch stencils.
  • Nickel Plating:  Smooth aperture walls providing excellent paste transfer for Premium Alloy 42 Laser and Chem-Etch stencils.
  • Super E-Clean:  Smooth aperture walls providing excellent paste transfer for DuraAlloy™ stencils.
  • Titanium Nitride:  Provides a very hard surface coating on DuraGlide™ Squeegee Blades.
  • Titanium Nitride / Chrome:  Provides a non-solder wetting surface for applications requiring the reflow of solder paste that is in contact with the coated surface.

Advantages

  • Electropolish, nickel plating and Super E-Clean are post processing techniques that smooth aperture walls promoting excellent paste transfer form the stencil.
  • Titanium nitride coating provides a very hard surface on the blade edge of DuraGlide™ squeegee blades for excellent printing characteristics and prevention of edge wear.
